1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the VerifiedPractitioner website and services operated by Truly Empowered Ltd.

By creating an account, subscribing to our service, or submitting a review, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. The Service

VerifiedPractitioner provides a managed review collection and display platform for wellness and therapy practitioners. The service allows practitioners to:

  • Send review requests to their clients via email
  • Collect, manage and display verified client reviews
  • Embed a review widget on their own website
  • Maintain a public review profile hosted on verifiedpractitioner.com
  • Offer a direct feedback link and QR code for in-person review collection

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use VerifiedPractitioner, whether as a practitioner or a reviewer. By using our service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

Practitioner accounts are intended for qualified wellness and therapy professionals. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate any account that does not meet this requirement.

4. Practitioner Accounts

Account Creation

Practitioner accounts are created either by our team on your behalf or automatically when you complete the signup and payment process on our website. You will receive a welcome email with instructions to set your password.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately at hello@verifiedpractitioner.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Account Information

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain misleading or false information.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

Pricing

VerifiedPractitioner is a paid subscription service. Current pricing is displayed on our website. All prices include VAT where applicable.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service. We do not store your payment card details.

Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually). You will be charged the subscription fee to the payment method on file unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at hello@verifiedpractitioner.com. Upon cancellation:

  • Your account will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not be charged for the next billing period
  • Your existing reviews will remain visible on your public profile and widget until the end of the billing period
  • After your subscription expires, you will no longer be able to send new review requests, but your existing approved reviews will remain live

Cooling-Off Period

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. To exercise this right, contact us at hello@verifiedpractitioner.com within 14 days of your first payment.

Refunds After the Cooling-Off Period

After the 14-day cooling-off period, no refunds will be issued. Your service will continue until the end of the current billing period.

Price Changes

We may change our subscription prices from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase by email. The new price will apply from your next renewal date after the notice period.

6. Reviews

Review Collection

Practitioners may only send review requests to individuals who are genuine clients of their practice. Sending review requests to individuals who have not received services from you is a breach of these Terms.

Review Content

All reviews must be genuine, honest accounts of the reviewer’s experience. The following content is prohibited in reviews:

  • False or fabricated experiences
  • Defamatory, abusive, threatening or discriminatory language
  • Personal information about third parties
  • Advertising, spam or promotional content
  • Content that infringes intellectual property rights

Review Moderation

Practitioners can approve, reject or unpublish reviews submitted to their profile. However, practitioners must not:

  • Selectively reject genuine negative reviews to artificially inflate their rating
  • Coerce, incentivise or pressure clients to leave positive reviews
  • Submit reviews of their own practice (self-reviews are detected and flagged automatically)

We reserve the right to remove reviews or suspend practitioner accounts that we believe are engaged in manipulative review practices.

Practitioner Replies

Practitioners may reply to reviews. Replies must be professional and must not contain personal information about the reviewer beyond what the reviewer themselves included in their review. Practitioners must be mindful of their professional confidentiality obligations when replying publicly.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users’ accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Scrape, harvest or collect data from the service by automated means
  • Use the service to send unsolicited communications (spam)
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Upload malicious code, viruses or harmful content

8. Intellectual Property

The VerifiedPractitioner name, logo, website design, widget code and all associated materials are the intellectual property of Truly Empowered Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from any part of our service without our written permission.

The embed code and widget provided to practitioners are licensed for use solely on websites associated with your practitioner account, for the purpose of displaying your reviews.

Review content is owned by the reviewer who submitted it. By submitting a review, the reviewer grants VerifiedPractitioner and the associated practitioner a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the review on the practitioner’s profile, widget, and website.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • VerifiedPractitioner is provided on an “as is” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
  • We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure at all times
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the service
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the claim

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • Your subscription payment fails and is not resolved within a reasonable period
  • We reasonably believe your account is being used for fraudulent or abusive purposes
  • We are required to do so by law

If we terminate your account for breach of these Terms, no refund will be issued.

We may discontinue the VerifiedPractitioner service with 90 days’ notice to all active subscribers. In this case, we will provide a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of your subscription.

11. GDPR and Data Protection

Practitioner as Data Controller

When you use VerifiedPractitioner to collect reviews from your clients, you act as a data controller for the personal data of your reviewers. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to send review requests to your clients and that doing so is compatible with your own privacy policy and professional obligations.

VerifiedPractitioner as Data Processor

We process reviewer data on your behalf in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will only use reviewer data for the purposes of providing the service and will not use it for our own marketing or any other purpose.

Reviewer Rights

Reviewers have the right to access, correct or delete their personal data at any time. These rights can be exercised via the links provided in the review confirmation email or by contacting us at hello@verifiedpractitioner.com.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify practitioners of significant changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
